Who are we?  A brief introduction to the club

The IBM South Hants Cricket Club is the commonly accepted name of what is officially the Cricket Subsection of the IBM North Harbour Club.  It  is a club composed mainly of players from within the IBM locations in South Hampshire, predominantly from North Harbour at Cosham, Portsmouth and Hursley Park near Winchester. Its origins lie in the earlier IBM Havant Cricket Club and to a lesser extent the short-lived IBM Cosham Cricket Club.  As time has New Place Scorebox - Webmaster did well :o)progressed, the catchment area has widened somewhat and the club now includes a number of former IBM employees as well as employees from further afield. The club runs two summer teams: a Saturday League Side who play in the Hampshire League County Division 4 (South) as a result of the latest reorganisation of the League, and a Sunday Friendly Side whose main purpose is to enjoy the game and take in the best of the Hampshire and Sussex countryside and hospitality.  Occasional evening fixtures are also arranged.  In addition to the summer teams, two winter Indoor Teams play in the South East Hampshire (Fareham) Indoor Cricket League.  The club is always looking for players of all abilities.
