Phil has been skipper of the Saturday side since 1995, taking over after the team’s relegation from the old Hampshire County Division 5 the previous season.
During his tenure as captain, the team has finished 7th, 11th, 8th, 10th, 5th, 7th, 6th and 3rd in East Hants Division 1; 6th and then relegated in 18th place in the reorganised Regional Division 1 (South); runners up and promoted in the
one season in Regional Division 2 (South-East). Back in Regional Division 1 (South) for the 2006 season IBM struggled, just avoiding relegation in 14th spot while the 2007 season saw a comfortable mid-table finish in 9th position,
doing just enough to achieve “promotion” into the newly reorganised County Division 4 South.
This promotion was to prove to be short-lived as 17th place in 2008 spelled a return to the regional divisions for 2009, where IBM ended in 8th place.
